The Michigan Economy and Divorce

We are presently going through some very rough economic times. A lot of people are thinking about a divorce, but cannot afford it. There are others who want a divorce, but are looking for ways to keep costs to a minimum, especially with regard to attorney fees. Here at Family Law of Michigan, we are prepared to work with people who are looking for a cost effective way of resolving marital problems.

We are prepared to act as mediators, without attorneys, in an effort to reduce costs. We are also prepared to work with other attorneys as mediators in an effort to try and keep divorces out of the traditional legal system, and minimize the expense. We understand that many people have homes with little or no equity, retirement plans that have greatly been reduced in value, and often have many thousands of dollars of credit card debts. We are here to assist in looking at creative ways of resolving these issues in a low-key, non-confrontational and cost-effective manner.
