Divorce and What to Expect

Divorce and What to Expect is a written guide for people seeking information about the divorce process.

From the introduction:

"Divorce is a complex and traumatic experience for most people. The so-called "simple" divorce is all too rare. Often hostility between divorcing spouses is due to fear of the unknown. With this booklet we hope to eliminate some of that fear by describing the legal and emotional process of divorce. As with anything as complex as the breakdown of a marriage, this booklet can only provide a general outline of the law and procedure of divorce. Although most divorces do not end up in a trial there are alternative to an acrimonious and combative divorce. These alternatives include Facilitative Mediation and Collaborative Divorce Law."
