Henry: Medical expenses, again there is a formula, what about medical insurance, how is that handled?

Alisa: usually someone comes into the family with medical insurance for the children to begin with and usually whoever brought the insurance continues paying for it, in the event of an uninsured family, whoever makes the more income with pay that much more percentage towards the uninsured medical expense.

Henry: What about cobra? Can you tell our viewers what that means?

Alisa: Cobra is for the spouse, which is a federal act which allows medical insurance to continue for up to 3 years for the spouse for up to 3 years in a divorce situation.

Henry: And that’s important because cobra goes back to the mid 80’s and before cobra in the case of a divorce, you were very simply out of insurance once a divorce was final, if you did not have your own.
